Hello and welcome to the Redding Rodeo website. My name is Lee Luft, President of the Redding Rodeo Association. As many of you know a website is a work in progress, such is the case with our organizations. We work hard year around to bring you the best in stock contractors, announcers, bullfighters, contract acts, and the best cowboys and cowgirls to our rodeo. The 3rd weekend in May is our annual rodeo, so plan now to attend May 18,19, and 20 of 2006.

Our Association consists of 100 volunteer members and a 19 seat Board of Directors. We also have four affiliate groups, Redding Women’s Rodeo Association, Redding Rodeo Auxiliary Association, Redding Junior Rodeo Association and the Asphalt Cowboys. We pride ourselves in bringing not only one of the best rodeos to California, but have one of the nation’s best also. New to our agenda of activities this year is the PBR (that’s right, as seen on TV) which was a tremendous success. Another PBR event is scheduled for August 2006.

One more item that I would like to direct your attention to is the California Horse Park. Most likely, that will be our new home. We certainly would like any and all support for this facility and look for our relocation fund raisers. Thank you in advance.
