My name is Jennifer Schneider and I am proud to be your 2007 Miss Redding Rodeo. I am 18 years old and a graduate of Central Valley High School. I am currently attending Shasta College and am majoring in Equine Science. I live on a ranch in Redding with my parents Pete and Jackie Schneider, where we train horses and raise pure breed Red Angus cattle. I have lived in Redding for 7 years and before then I lived in San Jose, California. While I lived in San Jose I worked on a 10,000 acre cattle ranch in the hills of Milpitas and that has created a strong foundation in my life.
I have always had a love for horses, rodeo and the life style that comes with it. I have competed in gymkhanas, local barrel races, High School Rodeo District 1 and Jr. Rodeos. While I competed in rodeo I did barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, breakaway roping and a few cuttings. I am also starting to get into reining a little bit.
My biggest goal in life is to compete at the NFR in Las Vegas in the Barrel Racing.
I am very excited about this year’s rodeo and all the plans that our association has for this next year. My goal as your queen is to be as involved as possible by attending various functions and other rodeos. I want to help in promoting and educating people about the wonderful sport of rodeo.
I would like to finish by saying thank you to all of the people that support the rodeo and our traditions. To our sponsors, we would not be able to be where we are without your support. Thank you to my family and friends for always being there! I want to say thank you to my parents who have always pushed me to do my best and achieve my goals.
I hope you enjoy one of the top rodeos in the state, right here in beautiful Redding California.
Sincerely
Jennifer Schneider Miss Redding Rodeo 2007
