Hello Everyone!

My Name is Kristina Bradley and I am thrilled to be your 2008 Miss Redding Rodeo. I am 19 years old and was born and raised in Shasta County. I feel very blessed to live in such a beautiful area where we are so close to many recreational wonders. I am a graduate of West Valley High School where I was an active member of FFA and enjoyed competing in many speaking competitions, as well as raising 4 successful market animals. Being involved in FFA gave me many opportunities to meet new people and grow as an individual. I have started my second semester at Shasta College where I will get my Associates degree and then move on to become a Pharmacist.

I was also Miss California State Horseman’s Association Royalty Queen for 2007 which helped me prepare to compete for Miss Redding Rodeo. Growing up my fascination with horses only became more prevalent as I got older. I first talked my mom into getting me lessons at age 9 and about a year later I had her convinced I needed my own horse. Soon after, I joined the Redding Junior Rodeo Association. I began riding on the drill team and carrying sponsor flags, and continued to do so for 5 years. I always looked up to Miss Redding Rodeo and hoped that one day I would be lucky enough to be that young woman.

My journey towards Miss Redding Rodeo proves that if you want something bad enough and are willing to put out the effort, you can achieve your dreams. As this year’s Miss Redding Rodeo I hope to inspire young equestrians everywhere as the previous ones did for me. I am planning to be as involved as possible in rodeo and community events. This May’s rodeo will mark the 60th anniversary and I am honored to be a part of such an exciting year and help put on one of the best PRCA rodeos in Northern California.

Please come out and join us May 15-17 and I hope to meet you all during my outings in Redding.
