Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the 62nd annual Redding Rodeo. My name is Julie Hemenway and I am the 2010 Miss Redding Rodeo. I am 21 years old and I will be graduating from Shasta College this May with my Associates degree. This September I plan on attending cosmetology school so I can work around my school schedule the following fall to receive my Bachelors degree in communications. I am very blessed to represent this wonderful sport of rodeo and I am honored to represent the Redding Rodeo Association, my home town. My passion to become Miss Redding Rodeo began at the age of three when I attended my first rodeo. At the age of eleven I competed for the Jr. Miss California State Horseman's Association. After winning the region 18, I went on to the state level. In 2006 I was also crowned Miss Cottonwood. These competitions helped prepare myself for my biggest goal becoming Miss Redding Rodeo. Miss Redding Rodeo is something I have also dreamed of and words can't express how honored I am that I was given this opportunity. I would also like to give a big thanks to the Redding Rodeo Association and our sponsors. I also owe a big thanks to all my friends and family for all their love and support they have given me. And thank you everyone for coming out to enjoy one of Northern California's biggest rodeos. Enjoy the 62nd Annual Redding Rodeo!
