Welcome to our home on the web,

My name is Evonne Clark and I am the 2009/2010 Redding Women's Rodeo Association Captain. I have been a member since 1982 and have previously served as Captain in 1994, 1996, and 2008. I currently ride on the RWRA drill team and carry the American Flag. I also ride on the REdding Rodeo Association drill team and have for over 17 years. I have participated in Color Guard competitions at the Cow Palace, sponsor flags, local parades and served as a parent advisor and drillmaster for the Redding Junior Rodeo Association.

I am proud to acknowledge my daughter, Kris, who is also a RWRA member for 18 years and a past Captain of the RJRA.

This year my goals for the RWRA are to continue to support our affiliated clubs in any way possible because we have an atmosphere like a large extended family. We plan on continuing our community involvement by hosting tack swaps, trail rides, horse shows and providing financial contributions to wonderful groups like the Lions Club for maintenance of our community flag and Angels With Wings.

In my spare time, I enjoy my three horses, trail riding, traveling, working in my yard and camping in the mountains. I also support Relay for Life through my work.

During my previous term, our club was much smaller. I'm pleased to see the increase in our membership, which indicates more women are supporting our western way of life. If any of you are interested in joining the Redding Women's Rodeo Association, please give us a call or attend our monthly meeting held the second Wednesday in the clubhouse. It is an honor to once again hold this position and I hope you all enjoy the 62nd annual Redding Rodeo!

Sincerely, Evonne Clark RWRA Captain 2008/2009

2009 Redding Womens Rodeo Association Drill Team
Welcome Rodeo Fans!

This year we have 13 riders, 12 in the line with one American flag. These ladies all love horses, that's one thing they all have in common, no matter what their previous riding was before drill. The ladies come from all walks of life, besides being wives, mothers, sisters or aunts. They have 8-5 jobs, driving school buses, medical/verterinarian offices, real estate, banking, and high school. Last year the team went to the Western States Drill team competition in Reno, NV and recieved 5th place in a national competition. Way to go Ladies! I am vry proud to have been selected as drill master this year. I am stepping into some big sues left by Rick Williams. He brought these ladies to their full potential and many thanks for all your hard work and support the last 3 years. I am very honored to be caring the American Flag for the team this year, in our support for all our troops past and present. Sit back and enjoy these awesome ladies.
