Redding Junior Rodeo

Hello everyone! My name is Allie Harnden and I am the 2020 captain of the Redding Jr Rodeo Association. I am currently 18 years old and a senior at Foothill High School. I have been a member of the club for 4 years now and I have had the pleasure to ride alongside nineteen of my best friends for my third year. This year I have the honor of carrying the American flag. The Juniors is open to all children from the age of 8-18. We welcome members without horse experience and we have plenty of activities for the people with or without horses. Anyone who loves the western way of life and is interested in promoting the sport of rodeo is more than welcome to come join our club! For the members who have horses, we plan many horse related events. For example, we go on trail rides, plan play days, go to barrel races, and much more! We also have the drill team that all members above the age of eight are invited to ride on. All riders on the Redding Jr Rodeo Association Drill team perform in Redding, Cottonwood, and Red Bluff parades and rodeos. Everyone who joins the Redding Jr Rodeo Association becomes family and friends that last a lifetime. Thank you for supporting the 2020 Redding Rodeo!!

Allie Harnden - Outstanding Member

Outstanding Member is a member chosen by the club as someone who stands out the most and can be considered a true definition of a leader. This year, the club nominated Allie Harnden as the 2019 Outstanding Member of the Year. Allie has been a huge asset to the Redding Jr. Rodeo Association since she joined this club. You can often find her at nearly every club event ready to help where it is needed. She is a pro when it comes to the phrase, “service with a smile.” Allie also fits in riding on the drill team into her busy schedule of work and school. She also spent her 2019 year serving as the RJRA Secretary where she did an amazing job representing her members as an executive member. The Redding Jr. Rodeo is extremely proud to have her as such a big part of our rodeo family.

Lindsey Mowe - Member of the Year

Member of the Year is a member that stands out to the Captain as someone that goes above and beyond for the club she loves and the members within it. The 2019 Member of the Year has been awarded to Lindsey Mowe. Lindsey joined as a shy, quiet girl. It has been so rewarding to watch her grow over the years into someone the members really look up to. Although she has a full time schedule of barrel racing and cheerleading, she still finds time to support our community by volunteering at the local events. She has done a phenomenal job serving.
