Know Before You Go

We are excited you are joining us for the 76th Annual Redding Rodeo. It is going to be a great time and we want you to enjoy yourselves. Here are a few things you should know before attending the Redding Rodeo.

What Time does is start and how long will it last?

The 2024 Redding Rodeo is Wednesday May 15th to Saturday May 18th. All the performances start at 7:00 pm. The gates will open at 5 pm each night. All of the vendors, including food and drinks will open at 5 pm. The performance will run for about 2.5 hours. On Wednesday and Thursday, alcohol will be stop being served when the last set of bulls begin to buck. There are no events after the performance on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday and Saturday night, the Cantina Party will kick off after the rodeo. Stay and enjoy some dancing, drinks and hanging out with friends. The Cantina Party will end at 12:00AM with last call about 11:30 p.m.

What are the ticket office hours?

Tickets for the 2024 Redding Rodeo go on sale on December 13, 2023 at noon. We suggest you purchase your tickets online at www.reddingrodeo.com for quicker service.

Our ticket office is located on the Redding Rodeo grounds at 715 Auditorium in Redding. Tickets office hours:
December- January: Wednesdays from 11 am to 4 pm
February - March: Wednesday 11 am to 4 pm
Saturdays: 9 am to 1 pm
April through May 5: Wednesday, Thursday from 11 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 1 pm
May 8 - May 18: Open daily from 11 am - 6 pm or end of rodeo during rodeo

Where can I park for the rodeo

The Redding Rodeo does not charge for parking. There is free parking in the convention center parking lot. There will be a specific traffic plan when you arrive for you to follow, please follow the signs and parking personnel. On Friday and Saturday nights, the parking will fill up and the West bound Hwy 44 off ramp will close.

Please try and carpool and arrive early.

There are handicap accessible parking stalls located by the ticket office, arrive early as they will fill up.

Do I need a paper copy of my ticket?

You do not need to print a paper copy of your ticket. If your ticket was emailed to you, we suggest that you load it in a digital wallet prior to arriving. You can also screenshot your email with the QR code to your ticket.

Cell service is slow to respond during the rodeo, so you may not be able to access your email to get your tickets pulled up.

WHERE SHOULD I ENTER THE RODEO GROUNDS?

Sections A - J and box 11 - 46, you will enter at the main entrance to the Redding Rodeo Grounds which is located by the ticket office, the address is 715 Auditorium Drive.

X Platforms and boxes 1 - 10 enter the main gate and turn right and the entrance to the area where these boxes and platforms are will be located there. To get to the platforms and boxes you will go up the stairs by the flagpoles.

Rodeo Flats and Buckaroo Box seat holders will enter at the northeast side of the arena. When you get by the main entrance, you will turn right and go along the back of the bucking chutes and you will find Rodeo Flats and the Buckaroo Boxes, watch for the signs. DO NOT ENTER at the main entrance there is not access to Rodeo Flats or buckaroo boxes through the main gate.

How can I purchase an alcoholic drink?

Drink tokens are required for all alcohol purchases. When you arrive you can purchase drink tokens and get your ID checked to prove you are 21 and over. Plan on using a debit card or credit card for faster service. Drink token and wristbands are available at the ticket office, in the vendor area inside of the main gate, in the Cantina area, near the X Platforms and boxes 1 - 10 and in Rodeo Flats. We will have a full assortment of beer and hard seltzer and mixed drinks. Drink tokens at $7 each.

The Redding Rodeo has a ZERO TOLERANCE for consumption of alcohol by anyone under 21. You must show your ID and get a wristband to be served and alcoholic beverage. Our bartenders and staff may ask for your ID at any time, please comply. DO NOT consume alcoholic beverages without a wristband and identification proving your are 21 and over. Please drink responsibly and have a designated driver to get you home.

What is there to eat and buy at the rodeo?

There is a wide variety of food and vendors inside the main gate of the rodeo grounds. There is a tent and seating area for you to enjoy your food and drinks or you are welcome to bring them back to your seats. Please no coolers or outside alcohol into the Redding Rodeo Grounds.

Is there Redding Rodeo merchandise available?

YES, this year Redding Rodeo merchandise will be available at the REDDING RODEO MERCHANDISE? INFORMATION booth inside the main gate to our left in front of the white building. Be sure and stop by to get your rodeo memorabilia. There will also be other merchandise vendors with items available for purchase. You can also purchase merchandise year round on our ecommerce site.

What if I lost something?

The Redding Rodeo lost and found is located at the ticket office. Any items that are found and turned into the Redding Rodeo, it will be located in the ticket office. We suggest putting your name and phone number on items you bring with you to help us locate them, for cell phones put your name and an alternate phone number for us to call if your item is found.

Are there rideshare options available?

The Redding Rodeo recommends that you use some type of ride share. We will have drop off and pick up area near the ticket office. If you are using a rideshare service, plan on arriving early as Friday and Saturday night the Hwy 44 off ramp will be shut down when the parking fills up at the convention center.

What if I have an emergency while at the rodeo?

The Redding Rodeo will have EMS on-site as well as Redding Police and security. Should you have a medical emergency, locate a Redding Rodeo Association member and we will get care to you. If a life threatening emergency and no Redding Rodeo Association member available please call 911.

CAN I BRING A CAMERA TO THE RODEO?

The Redding Rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and there are strict rules regarding the commercial use of photos and videos taken of the action in the arena. The PRCA owns all of the rights to the photos and videos taken of competition at PRCA sanctioned events. Any commercial use is strictly forbidden without the express written permission of the PRCA (719-593-8840). The Redding Rodeo reserves the right to refuse entry to those with long lens cameras (over 3 inches) or professional video cameras without a press pass. A press pass is available to those who work for a media organization. Freelancers without a specific assignment will not be issued a press pass. Bags and Outside Food

There are a wide variety of food and drink vendors inside the rodeo for you to enjoy, so we do not allow any outside food or drinks. Purses are welcome to be brought in but no oversized bags. Water bottles are welcome to be brought in, but no coolers of any type.
